Overview
Eden Resort stands as the crown jewel of luxury tourism in the Caribbean—a private island paradise where the ultra-wealthy come to escape the pressures of ordinary life. Glass domes. Elevated walkways. Infinity pools that seem to merge with the ocean. Every detail designed to create the illusion of perfection.
But beneath the marble floors and tropical gardens lies something else entirely.
History
The resort was constructed in 2015 by a consortium of investors led by Nexus Biotech, a defense contractor specializing in biological research. The official story was simple: a visionary real estate project bringing sustainable luxury to the Caribbean.
The truth was darker.
Eden Resort was designed from the ground up as a cover for Project Eden—a classified bioweapons development program. The remote location provided security. The wealthy clientele provided test subjects with diverse genetic backgrounds. The resort’s environmental systems provided perfect containment for research activities.
For eight years, the facility operated without incident. Guests came and went, none of them aware that they were walking above laboratories where nightmares were being engineered.
Facilities
Surface Level
- Welcome Pavilion: Grand entrance with registration, concierge services, and the first hint of the resort’s obsessive attention to detail
- Grand Atrium: Central hub featuring a glass dome, exotic gardens, and the infamous buffet restaurant
- Wellness Center: Spa facilities with a hidden lower level containing the staff infirmary
- Guest Bungalows: 200 oceanfront units ranging from luxury to obscene luxury
- Marina: Full-service dock with private yacht access
Sub-Surface Level
- Research Wing: Hidden beneath the wellness center, accessible only via restricted elevator
- Laboratory Complex: Multiple biosafety-rated labs, containment chambers, and specimen storage
- Ground Zero Lab: The primary research facility where the Eden virus was developed and where the outbreak began
The Outbreak
On the night of the Harrison family’s third day at the resort, containment failed.
The exact cause remains disputed. Some evidence suggests sabotage—a deliberate release intended as a “demonstration” for potential buyers. Other evidence points to equipment failure, the inevitable result of cutting corners on safety protocols.
Whatever the cause, the result was catastrophic. Within hours, the infection spread from the laboratory to the infirmary, then to the main resort. Within a day, Eden had transformed from paradise to purgatory.
Current Status
Eden Resort was destroyed by military strike 72 hours after the outbreak began. Official reports describe a “catastrophic structural failure” that necessitated demolition for safety reasons.
The truth—that the island was sterilized to contain evidence of bioweapon development—remains classified at the highest levels.
But the Harrisons know. And they’re not finished with the people who built this place.
Notes
“Paradise has teeth. And it’s hungry.”
This phrase, found scrawled on the wall of the laboratory’s quarantine section, has become the unofficial epitaph for Eden Resort. Its author—and their fate—remain unknown.
